GRADE SCHOOL ADMISSION GUIDELINES

I. Admission/Readmission

A. Admission of a new student to MMF is dependent on his having satisfactorily met the requirements for entrance;

  1. Interview and entrance test for the level applied for

  2. Submission of pertinent documents

B. All incoming students are accepted on a PROBATIONARY STATUS. If they will have met academic and conduct requirements at the end of the school year, they can reapply for the following school year.

C. All students must indicate their intention to re-enroll for the succeeding school year before the end of the current school year. Failure to so may mean forfeiture of their space in favor of incoming applicants.

D. The admission/readmission of a student to MMF is conditioned by the parents' commitment to cooperate in helping the student, as well as by the student's academic performance and conduct during the school year.

E. Repeated failure to improve on the academic performance and/or behavior means that the system may not work for the student; therefore, it may be recommended that the student transfer to another school.

GRADE 7 TO HIGH SCHOOL ADMISSION GUIDELINES

I. Admission/Readmission

A. Admission of a new student to MMF is dependent on his having satisfactorily met the requirements for entrance:

D. Grade 6 students who have completed the Montessori curriculum at MMF must apply for acceptance into the high school.

E. The admission/readmission of a student to MMF is conditioned by his academic performance, effort, and conduct during the school year. Failing in 2 units in the final average means that the student fails the year. Unless the student has been reconsidered for readmission, (as recommended by the faculty meeting en banc and finally approved by the Academic Council), MMF may not accept repeaters.
